border_styling_global="default" width="1/1" el_position="first last"]\n\nAs “birthday gift” for the first 25 years (1995–2020)\, Tipoteca Italiana asked 25 designers and printers\, from all over the world\, to design and print a poster.\nThe project 25×25. Tipoteca 25 was conceived in this way.\n\nStarting from Sunday\, June 21\, the twenty-five posters will be shown in the Gallery (plus an “extra” poster made by Tipoteca) in a temporary exhibition open until October 2020.\n\nThe project was born on the emotional wave of this early 2020: the desire to celebrate the important milestone of the cultural life of Tipoteca\, was opposed by the isolation and the forced closure for the Covid emergency.\nThus the idea arose of asking friends typographers and graphic designers from all over the world at least a simple gesture of “presence”\, through a poster designed for the occasion\, in the hope of being able to celebrate as is appropriate.\n\nMaximum freedom of creation was left\, except for a few rules: the size (50 × 70 cm)\, the colors (maximum 4 colors)\, and the printing technique (letterpress).\nOver half of the posters were made directly in the printshops of the invited designers; instead\, those who had no way of printing the poster in their studio were sent a Type-Kit\, consisting of the digital scan of twenty typefaces from the Tipoteca archive with which they could design the posters. The print would have been performed by the Tipoteca Stamperia on the basis of the indications of colors\, fonts\, and layout established by each graphic designer.
